Side view of a life-sized figure.
It is made from pieces of scrap copper, brass and bronze. Old water taps, bronze water fittings, machine parts from air conditioners, wall clocks, refrigerators, hot water systems, steam engines etc. (some pieces are of unknown origin)
Often the pieces are cut at varying angles to utilize the cross-sections. The pieces are fused and/or welded together using tobin bronze rods and heat from BBQ gas and oxygen. See two other pieces using this method in my gallery: "Brazen" and "Mind's Eye"
